Marc & Emmanuel Didisheim were the founding fathers of the Didisheim watchmaking Comptoir in Saint-Imier in 1850. They soon assigned each other roles, Emmanuel being in charge of horology, and Marc taking care of sales. One of the main reasons for their success, besides the immediate reliability of their production, lay in their faith in the mechanization of watchmaking. In 1854, they begin building a workshop which grew rapidly to meet the inrush of orders.

[1882] Armand-Ditisheim,son of Emmanuel-Didisheim,founded the Movado watch brand Movado Watch Co.

[1891] Henri Albert-Didisheim and Charles-Didisheim, the two sons of Marc-Didisheim,inherited the family  business.Simultaneously,they renamed  the company "Albert Didisheimet Freres".

[1895] Henri Albert's three sons joined the company,  and renamed it once again to "Maison Henri-Albert-Didisheim"

[1912] The Marvin watch factory expanded its operations in La Chaux-de-Fonds and established a branch in the village of Reconvilier, located in the Jura mountains near Bern.

[1918] Movado once became the largest watch factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds, with over 300 full-time and part-time employees.

[1921] The Marvin Watch Factory washailed by the famous Swiss watchmaking magazine Journal  Suissede l'Horlogerie as a model of success for the Swiss watchmaking industry.

[1926]Marvin conducted a two-month study to improve    the anti-gravity of factory watch movements and achieved excellent.

[1934] The Molnija watch factory expanded its scale again, and the factory site was still in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

[1941] "Compagnie des Mon-tres MARVIN SA" Marvin company registered and became a Swiss limited company.  

MARVIN registered the Chinese name "摩纹錶" in Hong Kong, China and established a branch office in Hong Kong.

[1950]"Compagnie des Mon-tres MARVIN SA" was registered as a Swiss limited company.

[2002]MARVIN regained its independent management   rights and returned to the brilliant stage of Swiss  watchmaking induwmdusty.

[2008]MARVIN reached agreements with famous watch companies in Japan,Canada and the United States. 

[2023] MARVIN launched the all-new Marvin 620A series of automatic mechanical watches, comprising the Marvin 620A.H and Marvin 620A.E models. The Marvin 620A series stands as an outstanding testament to the brand's watchmaking craftsmanship. With this launch, MARVIN reimagines a classic, showcasing the brand's rich heritage and independent spirit in the realm of watchmaking since its founding in 1850.
