MARVIN HERITAGE

THE GENETIC CONTINUATION OF MARVIN

From its founding in 1850 to today, Marvin’s identity is carried through every detail. Five timeless elements embody our heritage, craftsmanship, and enduring promise.

01

LOGO

In the early 20th century, craftsmen Marc and Emmanuelle Didisheim adopted “Marvin” as the company name following an encounter with an American watch collector. The three-pronged crown became the company trademark. The inverted “M” evokes the moiré motif, while the inverted form also recalls a “W” for watch — a visual language that remains part of Marvin today.

02

M&ED MARVIN FAMILY MARK

As a tribute to Marvin’s founders, Marc and Emmanuel Didisheim, each Marvin watch carries the M&ED family seal on the left side of the case. It symbolizes the continuation of Marvin’s watchmaking tradition and an unwavering commitment to quality.

03

CROWN — MARVIN CROWN MARK

The crown is one of Marvin’s most recognizable signatures. Marvin watch crowns are embossed with the brand’s crown mark: the “M” represents Marvin, while its inverted form suggests the “W” of watch.

04

MOVEMENT MARVIN MARK

As one of Switzerland’s early watchmaking houses, Marvin has long upheld a tradition of mechanical craftsmanship. Marvin movements carry the brand mark — a detail that connects contemporary watches with the maison’s historic watchmaking language.

05

REC “8” MARKING — RED MARK AT 8 O’CLOCK

Each Marvin watch carries a distinctive red mark at 8 o’clock. The mark is linked to a registered trademark dating back to 1850. Historical source documents are retained by the company’s legal counsel, while the full meaning of this signature remains part of the brand’s carefully guarded heritage story.

Five elements, one legacy.

Every Marvin watch carries forward a heritage of precision, passion, and trust — from 1850 to the future.
